Announcing Peter Norman, New Apolitical Parliamentary Candidate for Newbury

IMG_5217Peter Norman has been selected as the Apolitical parliamentary candidate for Newbury in the forthcoming general election.

David Yates, founder of the Apolitical movement said: “we are delighted that Peter has agreed to take the Apolitical parliamentary lead for Newbury. I know him to be able, articulate and to have the genuinely independent enquiring mind that is so lacking amongst the current party political automatons. Peter’s ability and willingness to challenge, review, and rethink will be welcomed by voters, who are heartily sick of the same old stuck rhetoric of the failed two party system. Peter will be a superb representative for the people of Newbury.”

Asked why he is willing to stand Peter said; “Having listened to the opening salvoes for the election campaign it is clear that no-one is going to take leadership and be truthful with the electorate. The political parties manifestoes offer no real choice, with the parties continuing to snipe at one another at the margins of the centre ground.

Meantime the really big issues go undebated:

  • How do we tackle climate change?
  • How do we breach the NHS funding gap?
  • How do we preserve education spending?
  • How do we deal with the growing disparity in incomes?
  • How do we reduce indebtness? How do we cope with immigration?”

Peter’s new site www.peternorman.org.uk is under construction.
